Hitpoint Sprint

Official Rules

These rules govern entry into the Hitpoint Sprint, a free-to-enter, skill-based trading competition run on simulated capital.

Draft. Not yet in force.

This document is an unreviewed draft. It is not legal advice and it is not the final rule set.

It must be reviewed and approved by a qualified India gaming and securities lawyer before the competition opens for entry. Several clauses below are still blank and are marked in orange. Nothing here has been reviewed or approved by any regulator, court, exchange or other authority.

TODO(legal)Set the effective date and version of the final rules once counsel has signed off, and delete this banner in the same change.

1. What the Hitpoint Sprint is

The Hitpoint Sprint is a trading competition. You are given a simulated trading account of $10,000 and 14 days to trade it against live market prices, under a fixed set of risk rules. Entrants are ranked on how well they trade within those rules.

You trade 3 markets: Bitcoin, Ethereum and gold. No other markets are available in the competition.

No real money is traded at any point. All positions, balances, profits and losses are simulated.

2. Who can enter

  • You must be 18 years of age or older. You confirm this when you create your profile, and the check is enforced when your handle is claimed.
  • You must create an account and claim one competition handle. One person may hold one handle.
  • You must enter as yourself. You may not enter on behalf of another person, and you may not let another person trade your run. Prizes are released only after a supervised re-run and an identity check (see section 10), so an entry traded by somebody else cannot be paid out.
  • Employees of the organiser and their immediate families may not win a prize.

TODO(legal)Excluded jurisdictions have not been decided. Counsel must supply the list of countries, and of Indian states, from which entry is not permitted, and confirm whether any geo-blocking is required at sign-up rather than at prize release. Do not open entries with this list blank.

3. Entry period

You may start a competition run at any time inside the entry window. The window opens at and closes at . In India that is midnight on 21 August 2026 to midnight on 4 September 2026, Indian Standard Time.

The window governs when a run may start, not when it must end. A run started on the last day still gets its full 14 days, so the last runs finish after the window has closed. Results are final once every started run has finished and been verified.

The server clock decides whether the window is open. Your device clock does not.

4. Free entry, no stake, simulated capital

  • Entry is free. There is no entry fee, no subscription requirement and no purchase requirement of any kind.
  • Nothing is staked. You do not deposit, wager, stake or risk any money, cryptocurrency, token or other item of value to enter or to keep playing. There is no payment step anywhere in the entry flow.
  • All capital is simulated. The $10,000 account balance is a number in our software. It is not your money, it is not held for you, it cannot be withdrawn, transferred, sold or converted, and it has no value outside the competition.
  • Profits are not winnings. Simulated profit is a score. It is not paid to you and it is not convertible into money.
  • Prizes are awarded for skill. Placement is decided by measured trading performance under published rules, applied identically to every entrant. No prize is decided by chance or by a draw.

5. The rule set

Every entrant trades the identical rule set. The numbers below are read directly from the configuration the competition server enforces, so this page cannot describe rules the software is not applying.

GateRule
G1Profit target: net profit of at least 8%Your account must reach $10,800 in realised balance from a starting balance of $10,000.
G2Daily loss limit: never lose 5% or more in one dayMeasured against the balance the day opened at, not against the starting account size. Breaching this ends the run.
G3Maximum drawdown: never draw down more than 10%Two different measures are both called drawdown in this competition. The live engine ends a run on loss measured from the starting balance. The qualification check also measures peak-to-trough drawdown. Both are applied, and they can legitimately disagree.
G4Minimum active days: at least 6An active day is a day on which you opened at least 2 distinct positions and your profit or loss for that day was at least $50 in absolute terms.
G5Minimum trade count: at least 20 tradesSo that one lucky trade cannot qualify a run. Partial closes of one position are collapsed and counted as a single trade, so closing in slices does not inflate the count.
G6Single-day profit cap: no day above 40% of net profitNo single day may account for more than 40% of your total net profit for the run.
G7Single-trade profit cap: no trade above 30% of net profitNo single trade may account for more than 30% of your total net profit. Partial closes are collapsed here too.
G8Risk per trade: keep risk at or under 2%Risking more than 2% of the account on one trade is recorded and counts against your score.

Other terms of the run: the account starts at $10,000, the run lasts at most 14 days, and you may hold at most one position per market at a time across Bitcoin, Ethereum and gold, all against one balance.

Breaching the daily loss limit or the maximum drawdown ends your run immediately. A run that ends this way does not qualify.

6. How a winner is determined

There are two steps, in this order.

Step one: qualification. Your run must pass every gate in section 5. A run that misses any gate does not qualify, no matter how much simulated profit it made.

Step two: the Consistency Score. Every qualifying run is then scored on a published formula that rewards four things: realised profit (with the contribution capped, so profit alone cannot win it), low drawdown, profit spread across many green days rather than concentrated in one or two, and steady, present trading. Highest score wins. The formula is applied identically to every entrant.

Ties. Ties are broken in this fixed order: lower maximum drawdown, then lower profit concentration, then higher green-day ratio, then more active days, then lower daily volatility, then higher trade count, then the earlier date on which the profit target was reached. A tie that survives all of those is resolved publicly, and both entrants receive at least the runner-up prize tier.

If nobody qualifies, no first prize is awarded. The organiser may instead recognise the most consistent non-breaching run at a lower tier.

7. The server replay is the binding verdict

Every action you take is recorded in an append-only ledger on our servers, and the market you traded is recorded second by second. When your run ends, the server replays your own ledger against that recorded market and computes the result again from scratch.

That server-side replay is the only binding result. Numbers shown in your browser during a run are a live preview for your convenience. Where the preview and the replay disagree, the replay is correct. Screenshots, recordings and browser numbers are not evidence of a result.

The replay is deterministic: the same ledger against the same recorded market always produces the same answer. If your connection drops, if your browser crashes or if your device clock is wrong, the replay is unaffected.

8. Run limits and cooldown

  • You may start at most 3 competition runs in any rolling 14 days. Every started run counts against that limit, including runs you abandon and runs that breach.
  • After a run ends you must wait 60 minutes before starting another.
  • You may hold only one live competition run at a time.
  • Practice runs in the simulator are unlimited and are never scored, never ranked and never eligible for a prize.

These limits are enforced by the server. If a run is refused, the reason is shown to you.

9. Integrity monitoring and review

The following are not allowed:

  • Holding more than one entry, or entering under more than one identity.
  • Letting another person trade your run, or trading somebody else's run.
  • Modifying, intercepting or replaying our software or our network traffic, automating entry through anything other than the provided interface, or trying to write to the ledger by any means other than the interface.
  • Attempting to interfere with the recorded market, the clock, the scoring or another entrant's run.

Automated signals monitor every run for patterns worth a second look. Crossing a threshold flags a run for review by a person.

A review is not an accusation. A flag sets a run aside so a human can look at it. It is not a disqualification, it is not a finding of cheating, and most flags are resolved in the entrant's favour. No run is ever disqualified by an automated signal alone. A person decides, and a false accusation that removes an honest entrant is treated as a worse outcome than a slow review.

If your run is set aside, you will be told that it is under review. Reviews are resolved before results are declared final.

10. Identity check and supervised re-run

A leaderboard placement qualifies you to be invited. It does not by itself win you a prize.

Before any funded account is released, top finalists must complete both of:

  • Identity verification (KYC). Government identification, in the name of the person who will hold the funded account.
  • One supervised re-run from scratch. A scheduled video call, screen and camera both on, recorded by the organiser. You start a fresh run from a hard reload and type in a code read out live on the call. Your trading must be consistent in kind with your submitted run: you pass the evaluation live, or you demonstrate clearly competent, rule-respecting trading.

No supervised re-run and no identity check means no account. This is not waivable. If a finalist declines, cannot be verified, or does not complete the re-run within the time the organiser allows, the prize passes to the next eligible entrant.

11. Prizes

Prizes are funded trading accounts and related benefits. No prize is cash. A funded account is an account with a third party, granted on that provider's own terms, and it is not a transfer of money to you.

PlacementPrize
1stA $10,000 Klein funded account, the Hitpoint Champion title, and a feature across our channels.
2nd to 3rdA mid-size funded account, one free reset, and lifetime course access.
4th to 10thAn entry-size funded account, course access, and the Finalist badge.
All qualifiersThe Qualified Trader badge and eligibility for the Wildcard, a skill-judged bonus award decided on a published rubric.

TODO(legal)The funded-account sizes for 2nd to 3rd and 4th to 10th are not confirmed and are deliberately not stated as figures on this page. Do not publish a prize the organiser has not confirmed it can fund. Counsel and the owner must also confirm the exact terms and payout cap of the first-place funded account, and whether any third-party provider is named here with permission.

  • Prizes are personal to the winner and may not be transferred or sold.
  • There is no cash alternative.
  • The organiser may substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the stated prize becomes unavailable.
  • All prizes remain subject to section 10. Nothing is released before verification is complete.

12. Tax

Any tax arising on a prize is the winner's responsibility unless stated otherwise in the final rules. The organiser may be required to withhold or account for tax before a prize is released, and may require your tax identification details first.

TODO(legal)The tax position is undecided. Counsel and a chartered accountant must determine whether section 194B (general contest prizes) or section 194BA (online game winnings) of the Income-tax Act applies to a non-cash funded-account prize, whether the organiser grosses up or collects from the winner before release, and what documentation (PAN collection, TDS deposit, Form 16A) is required. Do not state a tax position on this page until that is settled.

13. Disclaimers

  • Everything here is simulated. No real order is ever placed on any exchange. Simulated fills, spreads, funding and liquidations approximate real trading and will not match it exactly.
  • This is not financial advice. Nothing in the competition, the simulator, the leaderboard or any related material is investment, financial, legal or tax advice, or a recommendation to buy or sell anything. The organiser is not your broker and is not your adviser.
  • No guarantee of profit. Nothing here promises that you will make money, qualify, place, or win. Trading real money carries a real risk of losing it, and most people who trade with leverage lose.
  • Past performance means nothing. A simulated result, yours or anyone else's, does not predict any future result, simulated or real.
  • The service can break. Market data feeds, networks and servers fail. The competition is provided as-is. Where an outage affects a run, the organiser will act reasonably and will say what it did, but it does not guarantee uninterrupted service.
  • The organiser may cancel, suspend or modify the competition if it cannot be run as planned. Where that happens, it will explain why.

14. Your data

What we collect, why we collect it, where it is stored, how long we keep it and what rights you have is set out in the Privacy Policy. By entering, you agree to your data being handled as described there.

Your handle, your verdict and your headline run statistics appear on the leaderboard, which is visible to signed-in entrants. Your email address is never shown there.

15. Changes to these rules

The organiser may correct errors in this document and may clarify wording. Any change that alters the rule set, the scoring or the prizes will be announced before it takes effect, and will not be applied retroactively to a run already in progress. Runs in flight are always judged on the rule set they started under.

16. Organiser and contact

The Hitpoint Sprint is organised and sponsored by the entity named below.

TODO(legal)The legal entity name and registered address are not filled in. Counsel must confirm which entity is the sponsor of record for the Official Rules, and supply its registered name and address. Do not invent one and do not launch without it.

TODO(legal)The contact and grievance email address is not filled in. The Digital Personal Data Protection Act requires a named grievance contact, and prize administration needs a working address for finalists. Supply one real, monitored address and use the same one here and on the Privacy Policy.

The competition is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by any exchange, data provider or platform referenced in the product, unless separately documented.
